some of us are smart enough to still die while we can
the loveliest
and most delicate
are regularly abused
by the most crass
and degenerate,
allowing the world to refine itself
continuously toward the worst
possible manifestation of corruption.
All the while
ignorance and entertainment convince us,
through overtly discussed
or subliminally applied
psychological concepts,
that everything is improving.
All the while
we grow more dependant
on those who regard us
as empirically inferior.
and so we are
trained and rewarded
and soon we,
under constant supervision,
will never have to consult our own conscience
before action.
we will simply do as we are told.
and we will live forever
in this heaven/hell
those who believe
they have achieved it
