when I’m on the street angels walk with me
I don’t compete I live spiritually
mind so free, I give my thoughts away
you can save your pennies for a rainy day
stop lights change when I walk by
while I’m busting clouds right out of the sky
think about a friend before she shows up
but I’m not surprised, I’ve seen enough
to know that life is a story unfolding
it reminds of what rabbi told me
this earth benjamin is not what we perceive
but created by what we believe
that’s the only truth I see
and so I’m allowed into ecstasy
or to paraphrase its paradise
God does not need to roll dice
there’s no such thing a coincidence
it all coincide like one great dance
my phone just rang
it was the big bang
calling to say here we go again
a new universe
a planetary birth
no need to rehearse
or change your shirt
you’re the one thing of true worth
you and I and the end of hurt
or maybe life is better with a little pain
maybe the struggle is what brings gain
if all we do is snuggle with our lovers all day
how can we appreciate what comes our way
that’s why I think
its always the best thing
to take the big and small things
as one great blessing
no need for strife
or struggle or stressing
life is best
when you finesse
its testing
