Hey I ve got five minutes
I think Ill make some art
Ill scribble down a few words
That will tear your world apart
Ill let you know convincingly, ill talk straight to your heart
Everything means nothing, and that’s just where I’ll start
Beauty lies just in the eye of he who does behold
It matters not at all one bit if subject young or old
It matters not if lust or love be it noble or depraved
It matters not at all one bit, we see only what we crave
Ive spent all day muttering, Lord why must I walk alone
Why must I circle in a cage
I’d rather be lying still
in the comfort of my home
Why must I wander aimlessly?
Still searching I do roam
We are all kings in this kingdom
But I fear not a one has found our throne
And so im turning over rocks
And staring unders stones
Im letting loose the insects
I can hear their little moans
Im gazing through the heavens
But I can no longer condone
How my mind has lost all focus
And so I roll the bones
I study where they land
And what the form must mean
I see nuanced structure that creates
A new sight still as of yet unseen
I can see straight through reality
Across distance space and time
And what I choose to bring to me
Is the decision that is mine
I make look up to the stars and seek gurus near and far
Or I may end up with a mortgage and a brand new shiny car
Or I may find myself in the street with madness on my breath
Or I may one day lose my grip and come down with lust for death
So be it sick or beautiful
Our life is just our song
Where no one knows what words to sing
And so
we just make them up
. . . As we go along
