our love falls upon a silent poem
a stillness never found in nature
the flow of flower as the wind sweeps between the petals
an ocean of color bathed in dew
our love falls upon the words of the mute
a knowing eye that watches a lullaby
sit upon a parchment unsung
our love falls upon the loyal earth
as we meditate upon the grave
a brilliant painting hung within a darkened room upon a wall behind a shadow
our love falls like candy from the grip of a corpse
our love falls upon a child in heaven, waiting unwanted for a womb
our love falls upon a definition of philosophy, an unimagined fact, and unknowable truth
our love falls upon a breath of fresh death
our love falls upon a history of lies, wrapped in a smile, crooked like the teeth of wild, broken like the teeth of the tamed
our love falls upon a bank of empty boxes
our love falls upon a cold pot and a frigid bed,
a grey temple and a colorless Church,
a soft kiss that misses the lips entire,
falling on a pillow of distance
our love falls as deeply as i fell for you,
a pit within a pit within my heart
