I cant write good poetry for you
all I can write are the timeless cliches
the words so used up
they seem to have no meaning
I love you
I die without you
I cant live without you
I cant breath without you
I cant think of anything or anyone but you
I cant function without you in my life
I need you
I have to be with you
I don’t know what I will do without you
please forgive me
please
I beg you
I cant think of anything I can do
or be
except a man
who begs you
like a dog
I don’t want to resort to poetry
I don’t want to use any fancy terms
my mouth does not deserve
to speak the poetry
that would win your favor
I am a fool
a fool should be allowed no poetry
that line, just there, about a fool
almost sounded like a poem
so I should be punished
but I am punished
without you
my poetry
isn’t.
